JAMES GANDOLFINI R.I.P.

The Sopranos is widely regarded as the greatest drama of all time, and at its heart is James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano.  Despite appearing in films by the Coen Brothers and Tarantino, his career defining role is this vastly complex character, matched only in complexity by Gandolfini's nuanced and subtle portrayal.  Emotions often only intimated in a flicker across the eyes, with his guilt and responsibilities baring down on his lumbering physique, Tony was so charismatic that despite our many and frequent misgivings he became the character we loved to watch, owing everything to Gandolfini's masterful performance.
