One of the best films we saw last year was the, ahem, beautiful, The Great Beauty. Full of breathtaking shots, the existential masterpiece had us looking through Sorrentino’s back catalogue, and his 2004 film The Consequences of Love certainly stands out as a peerless and nerve-shredding stylistic triumph.
