Hello again people. Hope you enjoyed our first mixtape post last Monday. If you've somehow already got bored of those four beauties, then fear not, for as promised we bring you another handful of gems that have been getting everyone nodding their head this week. Some new, some old, some for the weekend, some not. Don't worry, the same theme remains - you can always find what these artists are rocking somewhere in Blitz.
Let's start off with a tune that often sneaks on the speakers during the week.
Mos Def is one of the few rappers that turned to acting and was actually good at it. Don't think we'll be seeing him in The Fast and Furious 7 any time soon. He likes to wear basketball vests which we stock for £15 and big collared denim jackets, £25.
Next up let's change the mood with an older tune that everyone at work enjoys.
Tina Weymouth was a big success not just as part of Talking Heads. She knew how to dress too, sporting a trend that's still around today (and this was written in 1981). Whether it be a cute minidress (£28) or denim shorts (£20) and a crop top (£18), you're guaranteed to put together this look effortlessly.
This band are one of our favourites at work, although weird at times.
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti take big influence from 70's pop, and have the style to match. Ariel Pink himself can resemble Kurt Cobain a lot too, being seen live with ripped Levi's 501s (£20) and Converse (only £10 now). A timeless look.
Last but by no means least, the only new song in the roster.
Admittedly we don't stock any of Mickey Moonlight's outer space outfits, but who cares, this is an awesome tune and deserves to be played anyway.
We hope you enjoy your second dose of music to cure those Monday blues...
Blitz x
